The game is played at the operational level on June 14, 1800, in Northern Italy, in a battle between French forces led by Napoleon and Austrian forces led by General von Mellas.
This battle was the first important victory in Napoleon's military career. On this day, General von Mellas' Austrians had almost won the first phase of the battle, but Napoleon was victorious thanks to the timely arrival of reinforcements.
"Napoleon at War" is a standard game that uses the same base game system with special rules prepared for each battle and the Must-Attack system.
