【Product Description】 The appendix game "Monty's Melancholy :Lonely struggle in ARNHEM 1944" is the second completely solo game, following the highly successful "Solitaire Nobunaga:1570" in Issue 82 of this magazine.
Players command Allied forces and aim to break through to Arnhem by eliminating the obstructions of German troops attacking from both sides of the road, and by coordinating airborne and ground forces.
Players have no way of predicting when and where German reinforcements will invade, so there are times when the Allied forces are able to successfully hold off a German counterattack on their predicted front, but there are also times when the Germans unexpectedly attack from a location the Allied forces do not anticipate, making this game completely different from traditional games. This is a completely different experience from traditional games, filled with the thrill of uncertainty and the fog of war.
